Maximizing New Client Business

My prior article, ‘Maximizing Existing Client Business’ (Altman Weil Report to Legal Management, October 2002), suggested ways law firms should maximize business from existing clients.  It has taken me longer than I thought to write this article about productive ways to generate new clients.  I suspect the reason, in part, is that it is often more difficult for firms to get new clients than to get more business from existing ones.
