LAW FIRM CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER IN ATLANTA
Applications are welcomed for this opportunity to join the leadership team as the principal business manager (COO) of a well-respected 80-lawyer, Atlanta-based firm, with eight other offices. The firm is highly successful and vibrant. The culture is one of collaboration and cohesiveness in support of the firm’s clients and its employees.
The COO reports directly to the Managing Partner and has oversight responsibility for the firm’s overall administration, including accounting and finance, legal operations, information technology, human resources, facilities management and marketing.
The successful candidate will have excellent academic credentials, proven executive and management skills and experience (preferably in a law firm environment), a strong background in law firm economics and profitability, excellent communication skills and the skills to serve as the principal administrator of the firm. This is a strategic-level position. Especially important are financial analytical skills, along with knowledge of marketplace challenges facing law firms in this hyper-competitive environment, including strategy, pricing, lateral acquisition, and a big-picture view of what technology can do to assist the firm’s practitioners and serve the communication and legal services needs of its clients.
