In May 2009, Altman Weil launched the first Law Firms in Transition Survey. That year, and in each subsequent year, we have asked law firm leaders to assess a series of trends as either temporary or permanent. There are ten trends common to each survey since 2009.
The fourth annual Altman Weil Law Firms in Transition Survey finds that a dramatic shift in attitudes has occurred among US law firm leaders. Emerging legal market trends that were viewed with considerable skepticism in 2009 have become majority opinions in 2012.
