Strategic planning is now viewed not as “something we ought to get around to someday,” but as an important, ongoing requirement for firm management. It works best when there is serious effort, external focus, fact-based decision making and action. It can be a challenge to get started, but will accrue to everyone’s benefit when the firm is able to get everyone moving toward shared goals.
